Ham & Swiss Croissant Bake

This easy, cheesy ham and swiss croissant bake is the perfect weekend brunch recipe for a crowd! It’s loaded with melty, tangy Swiss and salty, savory ham, all in a bed of egg-washed torn croissants.

The Starting Five

Five Things to Know Before Making This Dish!

  1. You can use miniature croissants or full-sized ones. I think the minis are more fun, but you’re tearing them up either way.

  2. Stuff the bake with lots of ham and cheese. Don’t skimp!

  3. Everyone’s oven is different. Check the center of the bake when you remove it from the oven to ensure it’s cooked all the way.

  4. Feel free to spice it up! If you want to add a little garlic powder, crushed red pepper, etc., don’t be afraid.

  5. If you want to prepare this ahead of time but cook it morning-of, then I would prepare the dry ingredients separate from the egg and milk mixture. Then, combine the dry and wet ingredients just before baking.

Ham & Swiss Croissant Bake

Ingredients:
1 container of mini croissants (or about 4 full-sized croissants)
8 slices of Swiss cheese
3-4 slices of ham
6 eggs
1/3 cup of milk
[Salt and pepper]

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Add half of the torn croissants to an oven-safe dish. Tear the pieces of ham and Swiss cheese, then fold half of them within those croissant pieces.

3. Add the other half of the torn croissants on top, and repeat the process with the remaining ham and cheese.

4. In a large bowl, combine the eggs and milk, and season with a generous amount of salt and pepper.

5. Whisk the egg mixture to fully combine, then pour it over the top of the croissant bake.

6. Cover the dish with foil, and bake it for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes.
