Chili crisp comes in a few forms, from mild to extra hot. Buy the kind that fits your spice-loving needs.
If you don’t want to use hummus, you can swap it for kewpie mayo instead.
Make sure you use a ripe avocado here. Unripe avocados have very little flavor. For ripeness, check that the skin is almost black and that the small stem at the top comes off with ease.
I love a slightly runny egg here, so I cook mine sunny side up with the lid on for about 5 minutes. But you can use any kind of eggs—soft-boiled, scrambled, etc.
This toast doesn’t keep well because the bread will get soggy. It’s best to eat it as soon as you prepare it.

Ingredients:
1 slice of whole wheat toast
2 tablespoons of hummus (roasted garlic hummus is great!)
1/2 an avocado, sliced thinly
[Sea salt]
1 egg, cooked as desired
1 tablespoon of chili crisp
Directions:
1. Add the hummus, avocado, egg, and chili crisp to the toast.
2. Enjoy!
